Yo start off this game will give you a chuckle if youve played any RPG style games in the past 10 years. It makes fun of the "RPG game" experience that you have in almost every RPG. Other than that. Good game with lots of humor to keep you entertained, with a interesting story to boot.
Great game ode to nostalgia! As well as in depth class progression!
I freakin love this game to bits! Its so fun! I have beaten this game several times and Im still not bored of it. Ive also been planing to play D&D Advanced. Im not sure anything can top this game, though. This game definitely deserves the highest rating. (Also the references are incorporated perfectly)
This game is brilliant. But it freezes up every time the music cycles for about 5 seconds. Its not horrible... But its a bit annoying. Please oh please fix this.
Bought this when it was on sale for 99 cents. Im a total cheapskate but Im still considering buying the second at 2.99 after playing the first. Would laugh out loud at parts. Enjoyed the challenges and you can tell the creators really thought about the gameplay experience. Theyve played an rpg or two in their day. Anyone looking for a new rpg. This one is worth it.
About every 30 seconds or so, the game freezes up for around 3 seconds. From what I can tell, its the music loop thats the problem. Whenever the music finishes one loop and goes to start another, it freezes for a few seconds.
Its a big problem when every loop on each of the songs is so short.
Some bad moments
Pro: Great story, memorable characters, funny in jokes. This game has it all! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Japanese style RPGs.
Con: Too bad I lost my save game after being taken out of the game this review. Also the game crashes frequently forcing you to lose the progress you made. Maybe its how the artificially extend the gameplay?
Its like playing Final Fantasy, Zelda, Super Mario, etc. all at once with a heavy dose of humor. Love it!
Would be a five star game if I didnt lose over an hour worth of gameplay because I got interrupted by a phone call. I havent experienced the erased data from an iOS update yet, but Ill be furious if that really does happen.
I love the game buuuuut, Im having a big issue with it freezing constantly. About every 30 seconds or so, for about 10 seconds each time (for clarification, Im in an area of sucky cell service while Ive been playing it). Ive found though that if you put your phone on Airplane mode, it happens far less. Otherwise, great game!
As a 27 year old man with the heart of a child ,but the responsibility of someone running a local business, I have been searching for a classic turn based RPG. Well this is it! It reminds me of the classics I played when I was a child, but with enough cynicism and humor to keep me interested. I can play for a few minutes here and there during the day, but once Ive finished at the shop for the day I can sit down and put an hour or so into it without realizing. This fills a void in the iOS shop that I have been sorely saddened by. Keep these coming, I will gladly pay for more!
A true RPG that delivers on every front. Well worth the price.
